About Ying Lei, MD, MS, FACOG
Dr. Ying Lei is an experienced OB/GYN over 20 years who recently joined the Women’s Center of Orlando at Oviedo office.Dr. Lei received her medical degree from Shanghai Medical University and successfully completed her an OBGYN residency training at OBGYN hospital in Shanghai, China. After moving to the United States, she continued her career and completed her OBGYN Residency training at Michigan State University. Dr. Lei received awards for Excellence in Teaching MS III in 2005 and Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedure by AAGL in 2007.
Dr. Lei practiced and provided both OB and GYN care at the Community Health Center in Orlando, Florida, helping to establish gynecological procedures at Advent Health Orlando. She has experienced with minor and major gyn cases as well as high volume of obstetric care in antepartum, Labor and Delivery and postpartum care in both inpatient and outpatient settings over 17 years.
She was acknowledged for her outstanding service and quality care in 2021. Known for her compassion and dedication to her patients, Dr. Lei has built many long-term relationships with those under her care.
Since 2016, Dr. lei held a faculty position at Florida State University, where she enjoys teaching MS III and has received high evaluations by her students.
Dr. Lei sees patients for a variety of gynecologic issues including abnormal uterine bleeding in different age period, pelvic pain and pelvic infection, urinary incontinence, uterine prolapse, contraception, infertility, pre-menopausal and menopausal hormone replacement issues. She also provides pre-pregnancy counseling and care for low and high risks prenatal patients.
Dr. Lei is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Lei takes great pride in her daughter who is currently a medical school student at FSU. If her daughter chooses OB/GYN as her career, she will be the third-generation OB/GYN physician in their family. She is fluent in English and Chinese.
In her free time, Dr. Lei enjoys playing Ping Pong and participating in tournaments.
She is very excited to welcome meeting new patients and build long-term relationships with them.
